F-15 First Line Manufacturing Manager

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has multiple openings for F-15 Manufacturing Managers (Level K) in Berkeley, MO. This is an exciting opportunity to manage, develop, and motivate high performing teams of employees on the production line.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • 3+ years' experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years' experience working with or supporting military aircraft
  • Ability to work any shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years' experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • Previous knowledge / experience with LEAN
  • Experience with military aircraft maintenance
  • Experience with flight ramp operations
  • Experience with team building, developing and motivating employees
  • Experience managing a Collective Bargaining Unit (CBU)/hourly union-represented workforce
