The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking student employees to fill the role of Enrichment Instructor for our partner organization, 21st Century in Manchester, NH. The core function of this position is to provide enrichment instruction for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers programs, including delivering instructions or leading activities with students.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides instruction for enrichment classes with a focus on math, performing arts, fine arts, science, book clubs, social studies, etc.
  • Assists the site coordinator in providing a safe and secure environment for after-school program participants.
  • Assists in the coordination, distribution, and clean-up of daily snacks.
  • Monitors student behavior and notifies site coordinator of any problems.
  • Reports all incidents regarding students, staff and/or any unauthorized visitors to the site coordinator.
  • Meets with the site coordinator for regular staff meetings as required.
  • Attend trainings and orientations as required.
  • Performs other duties as required by the site coordinator.
  • Supervise students during led group activities.
  • Supervises student transitions between groups and activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program.
  • Work study part of financial aid package.
  • Students with work study may be prioritized.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to complete the positions essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Experience with after school programs, working with children in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with technology is desired.

Compensation
