In this role, you work at your own bench performing detailed electronic assembly and troubleshooting on products such as PCB boards, motherboards, computer systems, and point-of-sale equipment, ensuring each unit meets strict quality standards before it is returned to the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform bench work to repair and service electronic devices including PCB boards, motherboards, computer systems, and related parts.
  • Troubleshoot printer boards, register boards, and receipt boards to identify and resolve electronic faults.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to accurately complete repair and assembly orders.
  • Use small hand and power tools such as crimping equipment, screwdrivers, small drills, and needle-nose pliers to perform assembly and repair tasks.
  • Solder wires and components when needed to ensure proper electrical connections.
  • Test finished repairs to verify proper functionality and performance before returning products.
  • Perform quality assurance and inspection on all completed repairs to ensure they meet established standards.
  • Complete small sub-assemblies of caps for circuit boards and PCB boards.
  • Remove caps from motherboards and install and test newly installed caps for proper operation.

  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout the shift.

Essential Skills
