Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate
Location: Kentwood, MI
Hours: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Friday, may be occasional weekends required
Pay: $17 per hour
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Unload trucks and inspect received goods for damages or discrepancies.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging items securely and accurately.
  • Load trucks and arrange shipments for optimal transportation.
  • Maintain organized inventory storage areas and ensure proper labeling.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as needed.
  • Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Ability to work evening hours from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
  • Willingness to attend a forklift certification class during daytime hours for a duration of 3 hours (paid class).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
