Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep)

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Employment Type: Part‑time (10-15 hours/week)

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $36–42/hour

Proposed Schedule
  • Hours: 10-15 hours/week
  • Days: 2-3 afternoons per week, flexible between Monday and Friday, afternoons from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Requirements

We need someone who’s proactive, highly organized, and ready to pitch in, whether it’s tackling household tasks or stepping in to assist with the kids when needed.

Core Responsibilities

Household Management & Organization:

  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily; maintain overall neatness, ensure structure is prepped for cleaning services
  • Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding, etc.)
  • Prepare for family events, holidays, and guest stays
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Support packing/unpacking for travel or seasonal transitions
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high traffic areas
  • Maintain indoor plants
Inventory Management & Errands
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
Meal Planning & Preparation
  • Plan and prep healthy meals/snacks for adults and/or kids (2x week)
  • Batch cook easy freezer meals or snacks, easy grab and go for lunch
  • Shop for groceries and meal‑related items
  • Clean kitchen post‑prep and manage kitchen tidiness
Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well‑stocked with supplies
Pet Care
  • Keep cat food area tidy
  • Keep pet supplies stocked and organized
Vendor & Property Oversight
