Job description

Manufacturing Operations Leader
Greater Waterbury, CT Area
$115,000-$135,000 + Bonus

A growing manufacturer is seeking a hands-on operations leader to oversee a high-volume production area and drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.

This role is ideal for a Production Manager, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Manufacturing Engineering Manager who enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and leading operational change.

Responsibilities:
• Lead daily manufacturing operations and production performance
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop supervisors, operators, and support staff through coaching and accountability
• Improve throughput, labor efficiency, quality, OEE, and overall operational performance
• Partner with Supply Chain, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to meet production goals
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
• Manage budgets, cost reduction initiatives, and capital improvement projects

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Experience leading supervisors and production teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing KPIs
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in plastics, injection molding, packaging, consumer products, medical device, assembly, or similar manufacturing environments preferred

Compensation:
• $115,000-$135,000 base salary
• Annual bonus opportunity
