These competencies ensure effective remote client support, data-driven interventions, and adherence to professional and ethical standards.

What is a 1099 Remote BCBA?

A 1099 Remote BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who works remotely as an independent contractor rather than as a traditional employee. The '1099' refers to the IRS tax form used for reporting income as an independent contractor, meaning taxes are not withheld from paychecks and the BCBA is responsible for their own tax filings. Remote BCBAs typically provide services such as behavioral assessments, treatment planning, supervision, and consultation via telehealth or online platforms. This role offers flexibility in work location and scheduling but also requires strong self-management and compliance with state licensure and ethical standards.
