We're determined to make a difference and are proud to be an insurance company that goes well beyond coverages and policies. Working here means having every opportunity to achieve your goals - and to help others accomplish theirs, too. Join our team as we help shape the future.

In this strategic role, you'll be at the forefront of our modernization initiative, leading the transformation of our legacy portfolio of customer communication services onto AWS and industry leading platforms. You'll collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and cloud-native enterprise solutions that enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of full stack solutions for customer communications, focusing on AWS cloud-native architectures.

  • Architect and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions to replace legacy systems.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into modern technical solutions that drive customer engagement.

  • Ensure code quality through rigorous reviews, test-driven development, and continuous integration practices.

  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

  • Drive adoption of GenAI tools, automation, and DevOps best practices to accelerate modernization.

  • Maintain application stability, security, and performance in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in full stack software development, including cloud migration and modernization projects.

  • Strong experience in Java (Spring Boot), JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and front-end frameworks (Angular/React).

  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, SNS, SQS, EventBridge) and cloud-native architecture.

  • Expertise in designing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, and integrating with vendor systems.

  • Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).

  • Experience with DevOps tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, Rally, SonarQube).

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent technical leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK).

  • Experience with customer communications platforms and modernization initiatives.

  • Exposure to industry communications platforms (OpenText, SmartCOMM, Quadient).

  • Experience leveraging GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, prompt-based dev tools).

  • Advanced degree or certifications in cloud, AI, or related technologies.
