Job description

Job Title: Telemetry Technician

Location: New York, NY 10029

Contract Duration: 07/27/2026 – 10/24/2026 (13 Weeks) possible extension

Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Travel Pay Package: Approximately upto $1,720.50 Weekly Gross

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Technician to join a leading hospital in New York City. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac monitoring experience and be skilled in ECG interpretation, arrhythmia recognition, and responding to critical rhythm changes in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/Monitor Technician experience in a hospital setting REQUIRED
  • Current Telemetry Technician/Monitor Technician Certification REQUIRED
  • Dysrhythmia Course REQUIRED
  • BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross) REQUIRED
  • Experience with ECG interpretation and cardiac rhythm analysis
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Must be willing to work every other weekend

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform continuous ECG and telemetry monitoring
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias accurately
  • Identify and respond to potentially life-threatening rhythm changes
  • Initiate codes and document rhythms during emergency situations
  • Perform electrocardiograms with proper electrode placement
  • Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and respond to alarms appropriately
  • Enter and verify orders within the computer system
  • Retrieve and communicate laboratory results to nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
