This Dispensary Associate position is part-time and is located in Bonita Springs, FL.

Summary: 

As a Dispensary Associate, you’ll be a vital force in the evolving world of cannabis. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll be at the forefront of patient acquisition for medicinal cannabis and welcoming adult-use use customers, fostering an environment where education, exploration, and satisfaction intersect. Your primary responsibility is to offer comprehensive education on strains, effects, and various methods of cannabis use, ensuring everyone receives tailored information to make informed decisions. Beyond education, you’ll be the face of our dispensary, delivering warm and informed service, recording transactions in the POS system, and collaborating closely with dispensary managers to maintain a clean and organized dispensary environment. 
 

Essential Functions: 

The Dispensary Associate elevates the dispensary experience for our patients and customers. This role is the heartbeat of our interactions, where you’ll be a vital part of shaping a positive, informative, and seamless journey for prospective, new, and returning customers. Your key responsibilities include, but is not limited to the following: 

  • Welcome everyone with a friendly attitude, creating a positive dispensary experience.  
  • Guide and educate patients and customers in choosing the right medicine and products, providing personalized insights into strains and effects. 
  • Proactively interact with customers, guide them through our product offerings, and highlight exclusive specials to increase sales opportunities.  
  • Enter and access patient records accurately, confirming identities and eligibility to purchase in line with legal and company standards. 
  • Represent the company’s brand well as a brand ambassador. 
  • Follows and uphold the company’s core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service. 
  • Adheres to iAnthus' cultural principles of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. 
  • Accurately handle transactions, receiving payments with a smile, and recording purchases in our Dispensary Management System. 
  • Provide patients and customers with informative printed materials, helping them make well-informed decisions.   
  • Bring a sales-focused attitude to every shift, always looking for chances to increase sales and grow business. 
  • Work with Dispensary Managers to check product inventory, making sure we have a diverse and fresh selection that meets our patients' and customers’ needs. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized dispensary area. 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications + Education: 

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older 
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. 
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering top-notch customer service. 
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate multiple tasks, and prioritize work effectively. 
  • Reliability is a must. 
  • Meticulous organizational skills with acute attention to detail. 
  • Computer-savvy, with a knack for quickly mastering new software. 
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is non-negotiable. 
  • Comfortable teaching customers about the medicinal and adult-use aspects of cannabis and conducting workshops or info sessions to boost their understanding and confidence in choosing products. 
  • Ganjier Certification preferred

Starting Pay Rate: $16/hr 


Working Conditions: 

The employee works in a medical dispensary environment and uses a computer, telephone, and other office equipment to perform duties. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position.  The position will regularly interact with the public and needs to engage patients and customers in a friendly and helpful manner. The employee must be able to function effectively in a high-paced, fast-moving retail environment. The employee may be subjected to work in environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor A/C, no A/C, motion and noise. 

The position also requires a high level of scheduling flexibility and will occasionally include evening, weekend, and holiday work hours. The employee will encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday and must have a high regard for self-management, time management, and scheduling of activities.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time, move around, and clearly communicate. The employee must constantly position oneself to move freely around the store. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. The employee will often need to use a ladder, with up to a 12’ extension and general hardware tools.  

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
