Job Title: Low Voltage TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role focuses on installing, dressing, and pulling low voltage cabling, as well as terminating cables and performing general low voltage work on large-scale commercial projects. You will support construction activities on active job sites and help ensure that low voltage systems are installed safely, neatly, and according to project specifications.
Responsibilities- Install and route low voltage cabling on large commercial construction projects, ensuring clean and organized cable dressing.
- Pull cables throughout the job site using appropriate methods and tools while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Terminate low voltage cables, including data and fiber, according to project requirements and industry best practices.
- Assist with general low voltage work such as mounting equipment, labeling cables, and supporting system setup.
- Perform construction-related labor tasks as needed to support low voltage installations and other trades on site.
- Use hand tools and basic construction tools safely and effectively during installation and cable pulling activities.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members during installation phases to maintain efficient workflow and site organization.
- Follow safety procedures and site regulations at all times, including adherence to any applicable inspections and safety checks.
- Support inspection and testing activities for low voltage systems as directed by project leadership.
- Adapt to changing site conditions and learn new techniques and processes required for low voltage contracting work.
Essential Skills- Prior experience performing construction labor on commercial or similar job sites.
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn the processes and standards used by low voltage contractors.
- Experience with general low voltage or cabling work, including basic installation and cable pulling (preferred).
- Ability to perform cable pulling and dressing in a safe, organized, and efficient manner.
- Basic proficiency using hand tools commonly used in construction and low voltage installations.
- Capability to assist with cable terminations, including data and fiber, under guidance.
- Strong work ethic and reliability in a construction environment with set hours and schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Low voltage and structured cabling experience on commercial projects (preferred).
- Experience working with fiber cabling and terminations (preferred).
- OSHA 10 certification (nice to have).
- Experience supporting inspections related to low voltage systems (nice to have).
- Background or exposure to fire alarm, electrical, or related systems (nice to have).
- Experience pulling wire and data cable in commercial environments (nice to have).
- Lift certifications for operating aerial or material lifts (plus).

Work EnvironmentThis position is based on active commercial construction sites where you will work alongside multiple trades during the installation phases of the project. You will use hand tools and standard construction equipment to perform cable pulling, installation, and termination tasks in a field environment. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. The work is performed in a construction setting that may involve varying site conditions, elevated work areas, and the use of lifts where certifications are a plus. You should expect to wear appropriate construction attire and personal protective equipment suitable for a commercial job site.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
