Job description

A position is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction and support for students with visual impairments. This contract role is based onsite in Pickerington, OH, with part-time hours during the school year from August 5, 2026, to May 27, 2027.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct and consultative services aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with educational staff as needed
  • Providing indirect services such as documenting service delivery and maintaining communication related to IEP activities
  • Supporting a caseload of approximately 8-10 students, primarily elementary-aged, with potential middle and high school students, across multiple locations

Qualifications:

  • Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification is required
  • Experience delivering both direct and consultative instruction to students with visual impairments
  • Strong documentation and communication skills to ensure compliance with IEP requirements
  • Ability to manage services for multiple students at varied educational levels
