Job Summary We are seeking an Industrial Laboratory Technician to support research and development activities for its Composites and Insulation businesses. This role focuses on industrial laboratory testing, sample preparation, equipment operation, and material analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing R&D environment. Note: Candidates with industrial lab or manufacturing lab experience are preferred. Candidates with bio lab, medical lab, or clean room laboratory backgrounds are not a good fit for this position. Key Responsibilities Follow all laboratory safety procedures and PPE requirements. Adhere to lock-tag-try procedures. Report safety concerns and incidents promptly. Promote a zero injury, zero defect, zero loss culture. Prepare glass and raw material samples for testing. Perform physical property testing. Conduct glass melting and refractory brick testing. Operate cutting, grinding, and laboratory equipment. Work safely with high-temperature materials. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment. Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities. Work closely with Glass Science & Technology teams. Support cross-functional projects. Assist with troubleshooting and laboratory problem solving. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint. Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Manufacturing Industry experience. Experience with raw material splitting. Experience with grinding. Experience with particle size sieving. Required Skills Industrial laboratory experience.
