What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients on a telemetry-based Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor critically ill pediatric and adult patients, focusing on infection prevention and safety protocols
- Utilize telemetry equipment and other advanced medical devices (e.g., GE telemetry system, PCA, PICC line management)
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies
- Manage complex procedures like chest tubes, tracheostomies, and external airway devices
- Respond to rapid response team activations and manage deteriorating patient conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Ohio RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity nursing experience, with emphasis on telemetry and infection control
- BCLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
- Knowledge of IV therapy, line management, and patient monitoring
Preferred:
- Oncology experience (not mandatory)
- Experience with blood product administration, chemo, and wound care
- Skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, insulin titration, and invasive airway management
