Registered Nurse – PCU Oncology – Columbus, OH

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct patient care to oncology patients on a telemetry-based Progressive Care Unit
  • Monitor critically ill pediatric and adult patients, focusing on infection prevention and safety protocols
  • Utilize telemetry equipment and other advanced medical devices (e.g., GE telemetry system, PCA, PICC line management)
  • Administer medications, including chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies
  • Manage complex procedures like chest tubes, tracheostomies, and external airway devices
  • Respond to rapid response team activations and manage deteriorating patient conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment

What You Need

Required:

  • Valid Ohio RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years of high-acuity nursing experience, with emphasis on telemetry and infection control
  • BCLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
  • Knowledge of IV therapy, line management, and patient monitoring

Preferred:

  • Oncology experience (not mandatory)
  • Experience with blood product administration, chemo, and wound care
  • Skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, insulin titration, and invasive airway management
