Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of IR experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details
  • Interventional Radiology unit within a large academic hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30)
  • 13-week contract
  • Procedures include cardiac cath lab, circulating, scrubbing, and electrophysiology procedures
  • PA line/Swan Ganz monitoring performed in this role
  • On-call required: 2 call shifts during the contract
  • Every other or every third weekend coverage required as needed
  • Floating may be required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
  • Active OH RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Interventional Radiology experience required
  • Ability to circulate IR procedures required
  • Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
  • 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (e.g., supervisor); a charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference — coworker references are not accepted
  • Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers will be considered if the candidate has skills specific to IR or RPR
  • Local candidates are welcome to apply
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to or at the time of consideration and will be built into the contract; RTO is limited to 7 days or fewer
  • Former employees of this health system are eligible after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility; current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible
  • Ohio fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after signing a contract — candidates outside of Ohio but within driving distance will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location; those farther away will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to complete urgently
  • Scrub procedures and triage experience are preferred but not required
  • Parking permits are available for purchase through CampusParc, with multiple options including garage access and surface lot/shuttle alternatives
