Job description

Pool Lifeguard

To ensure water safety for all guests in a professional manner at the pool areas.

End of the Summer Bonus*:.50/hr for every hour worked during the season

*Bonus is dependent upon employment for the entirety of our Summer season (Memorial Day- 2 weeks post Labor Day)

CERTIFICATION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

CPR, AED and Lifeguarding

  • Certification Fee will be reimbursed dependent upon employment for the entirety of our Summer season (Memorial Day- 2 weeks post Labor Day)

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • Basic education at high school level.
  • Prefer knowledge in pool maintenance and/or lifeguard experience.
  • Must be able to occasionally bend/stoop, squat, kneel and push/pull and lift upwards of 100 lbs at any given point.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs daily.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends and other shifts as necessary.
  • Must be able to perform tasks in a safe manner and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Through the training process and your current experience, the following skills and abilities are required to successfully perform this job:

  • Provide a safe and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
  • Maintain clean swimming pool vacuuming and skimming pool as necessary.
  • Supervise all pool activities and maintain order and enforce rules.
  • Perform housekeeping of pool area - maintain clean tables, chairs, umbrellas, empty trash, pick up litter and towels, straighten lounge chairs, etc.
  • Perform other pool related duties as assigned or required.
  • Maintain upkeep of rescue equipment and first aide kit, including restocking.
