Job description

Live Selling Support Specialist
Midwest Cards
Department: Live Selling / E-Commerce Reports To: Live Selling Department Manager Job Type: Full-Time
About the Role
Midwest Cards is looking for a detail-oriented Live Selling Support specialist to join our growing live commerce team. This role sits at the intersection of production, operations, and technical support — working directly with our live sellers and department manager to keep shows organized, on schedule, and running smoothly on Whatnot. You'll be the behind-the-scenes engine that helps our streams look polished, run efficiently, and hit their sales goals.
This is a great fit for someone who loves organization, thrives on checklists and process, has a good eye for production quality, and is comfortable troubleshooting tech on the fly.
What You'll Do
Show Planning amp; Coordination
  • Work with live sellers and the department manager to plan and structure breaks for upcoming shows
  • Build, review, and dissect checklists to ensure every show is fully prepped before it goes live
  • Schedule shows on Whatnot and manage the show calendar
  • Create eye-catching, on-brand thumbnails for scheduled Whatnot shows
Technical amp; Production Support
  • Provide real-time technical support for OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and other backend streaming systems during live shows
  • Troubleshoot audio, video, overlay, and connectivity issues quickly to minimize downtime
  • Monitor stream quality and flag issues before they impact the viewer experience
  • Help maintain and improve scene setups, overlays, graphics, and other OBS assets
Production Quality
  • Identify opportunities to elevate the overall look, feel, and flow of our streams
  • Partner with sellers to refine pacing, presentation, and on-screen visuals
  • Stay current on Whatnot platform updates, best practices, and live commerce trends
  • Support post-show wrap-up, including reviewing footage/metrics for quality improvement
What We're Looking For
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail — you catch the small things others miss
  • Comfortable working with checklists, schedules, and repeatable processes
  • Hands-on experience with OBS or similar streaming/broadcast software (required)
  • Familiarity with Whatnot or similar live selling/live commerce platforms preferred
  • Basic graphic design skills for creating thumbnails (Canva, Photoshop, or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm troubleshooting under pressure, including during live broadcasts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with sellers, managers, and other team members
  • Flexible schedule — able to support shows during evenings/weekends as needed
  • Passion for or familiarity with trading cards/collectibles is a major plus
Why Join Midwest Cards
You'll be part of a fast-growing live commerce team where your work directly shapes the viewer experience for thousands of live shoppers. If you love a mix of behind-the-scenes production, tech troubleshooting, and organizational problem-solving, this role offers a front-row seat to the future of live selling.
To apply, please submit your resume and a brief note about your experience with OBS and/or live streaming platforms.
