Job description

About This Role
Hiring experienced concrete carpenters for a new-build data center in New Albany, OH. This is a commercial construction role focused on formwork, layout, placement, and finishing. Pay range is $22-$35/hr depending on experience. You'll work on a large, fast-paced jobsite alongside other trades. Candidates must have at least 3 years of commercial-site experience with concrete formwork and be able to read plans, handle rigging and scaffolding tasks, and manage concrete placement and curing to meet quality and schedule demands.
What You'll Do
  • Layout and install commercial concrete formwork, bracing, and forming systems to plans and tolerances
  • Set and secure reinforcing, coordinate with rebar crews, and prepare for concrete placement
  • Place, finish, cure, and protect concrete pours for slabs, footings, walls, and embeds
  • Read and follow structural and civil drawings, site layout, and survey marks
  • Operate rigging and scaffold systems safely; assist with equipment setup and material handling
  • Perform on-site inspections, quality checks, and coordinate with supervisors and other trades

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on commercial concrete carpentry experience on new-build projects
  • Proven ability to read and interpret structural and civil drawings
  • Experience with concrete formwork, placement/pouring, finishing, curing and protection
  • Competence with rigging, frame & system scaffolding, and concrete reinforcing work
  • Physically fit for heavy lifting, long days outside in variable conditions, and reliable transportation

Qualifications
  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
  • NCCER, trade school credential, or documented journeyman experience a plus
  • Forklift/aerial lift certification and CPR/First Aid a plus
  • Fluent enough in English to understand instructions and read drawings
