Job Description Location: New Albany, OH (Fully Onsite) Pay: $40-50/hour (DOE) Employment Type: Contract with potential for extension or permanent hire Start Date: Targeting on or before August 3 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (occasional evenings/weekends as project needs require) About the Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support one of the largest hyperscale data center construction projects in the United States. This role is ideal for safety professionals with large-scale commercial construction experience who are passionate about creating safe, compliant, and high-performing job sites. You'll work closely with project leadership to implement safety programs, conduct inspections, lead training initiatives, and ensure compliance with OSHA and industry safety standards throughout all phases of construction.

Responsibilities Implement and enforce site safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs. Conduct new hire safety orientations and ongoing safety training. Perform routine site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Maintain all required safety documentation including: Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) Safety audits and inspections Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while documenting findings and corrective actions. Support preparation of documentation related to regulatory inspections, insurance claims, and legal matters when necessary. Partner with project teams to proactively identify risks and improve overall site safety performance.

Promote a strong safety culture across the project. Required Qualifications 2+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience supporting large-scale commercial construction projects. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline OR one or more BCSP certifications including: ASP CHST OHST CSP SMT SMS CET GSP Experience developing and implementing safety programs.

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices. Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Experience Data center or mission-critical construction experience. Structured cabling or low-voltage construction experience. Experience supporting hyperscale data center builds.

Working knowledge of: Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) NFPA 70E Fall Protection Hazard Communication Incident Investigation Powered Industrial Truck Safety Experience managing corrective actions from audits and regulatory inspections. Experience serving as a site liaison during OSHA inspections. Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.

Knowledge of ISO 45001 safety standards. Preferred Certifications OSHA 10/30 Outreach Trainer OSHA 30 Construction OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certified Fall Protection Competent Person First Aid / CPR / AED FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) RCRA Hazardous Waste Generator Certification OSHA 500/510 Certified Asbestos Building Inspector Ideal Candidate Profile Successful candidates will have experience supporting high-profile commercial or industrial construction projects, particularly within data centers, mission-critical facilities, manufacturing, or similar environments. You'll be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about driving a culture of safety while partnering with field leadership to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
