Lead MuleSoft Integration Developer / MuleSoft Architect

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid) Duration: Long-Term Contract

Work Schedule

  • Flexible work hours required.
  • Occasional evening and weekend support may be needed for production issues, solution remediation, and emergency incidents.
  • Off-hours support is performed remotely.
  • Hybrid Option: Mandatory onsite presence every Wednesday.
  • Office Location: 35 East Chestnut Street, Columbus, OH 43215
  • Standard Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview

Seeking an experienced MuleSoft Integration Developer/Architect to design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role will support API-led connectivity initiatives, enterprise modernization efforts, cloud integration projects, and mission-critical production environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with MuleSoft development, API architecture, enterprise integrations, cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and integration security.

Required Skills & Experience

MuleSoft & Integration Development

  • 7+ years of hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform experience.
  • Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise integrations.
  • Expertise in: Mule ESB, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Manager, Exchange, RAML, API-led Connectivity
  • Experience developing: REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML, JSON, JMS-based integrations
  • Experience modernizing and migrating legacy integrations to MuleSoft.
  • Experience integrating MuleSoft with Salesforce and other cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of ESB architecture and reusable integration frameworks.

Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Design scalable, reusable, and maintainable integration services.
  • Participate in enterprise architecture reviews and roadmap planning.
  • Define API governance, versioning, lifecycle management, and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Translate business requirements into technical integration solutions.

Programming & Database Skills

  • Strong Java/J2EE development experience.
  • Experience with: Spring Framework, XML, JSON, SQL
  • Experience integrating with: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
  • Python experience is a plus.
  • Strong data transformation, mapping, and validation experience.

Event-Driven & Messaging Technologies

  • JMS
  • Kafka (Preferred)
  • RabbitMQ (Preferred)
  • Event-driven architecture patterns

Cloud & DevOps

  • CloudHub deployment experience.
  • Experience supporting Hybrid MuleSoft environments.
  • Azure Cloud experience preferred.
  • CI/CD experience using: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Maven
  • Git-based source control and branching strategies.
