Position summary:
The Flammability Testing Technician processes incoming flame tests materials, develops flammability test plans and performs flammability tests in accordance to customer and government requirements.
Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to perform repetitive task with little supervision
  • Strict attention to detail

    • Complete reports efficiently and on time
    • Basic comprehension of each section of test report

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • It is an essential function of this position that the Associate be on the work site in person to perform their job duties throughout each scheduled work week. TSAM operates most effectively with the kind of teamwork, personal interaction, and supervision that cannot be achieved in a home office environment.
  • Environmental conditions - Open office environment. May be exposed to moderate noise levels.
  • Vocal Communication - Required to express or exchange ideas by means of concise (clear, correct and timely) discussion with coworkers, customers, suppliers, etc.
  • Hearing Perception - Ability to recognize information at normal spoken levels and/or ability to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or make fine distinctions in sound.
  • Sensory Utilization - Prepare and analyze written or computer data.
  • Physical Activities - Required to stand, walk and sit, as well as using hands to pick up, handle or feel objects. May occasionally reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
