CAS is currently seeking a Scientific Content Engineer for our Content Operations team. This position is based in Columbus, Ohio in a hybrid capacity but is open to qualified remote candidates.
Position Summary:
The scientific content engineer successfully, proficiently, and efficiently leverages standard business technology applications and programming languages to develop and maintain CAS knowledge-management systems. They demonstrate consistent expertise in data wrangling, data analysis, and domain knowledge to generate high-quality deliverables for CAS operations, services, and products. This position establishes and adapts data needs for emerging content areas and customer requests while demonstrating a customer-centric mindset.
Job Accountabilities:
The Scientific Content Engineer contributes expertise to an internal network of data wrangling, data analysis, and domain experts. Demonstrates innovation and expertise in applying scientific content understanding, policies, work habits, insights, and technologies to consistently achieve performance expectations for deliverables, accuracy. and timeliness. Demonstrates a customer-centric mindset and creates accurate deliverables for projects, products, and services efforts. Strong learning agility including ability to quickly learn, apply, and share knowledge of complex scientific , data, and technical concepts and policies and leverage approved technologies.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in science or a technology-related domain. Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred.
- 7-12 years of work experience in cheminformatics, bioinformatics, or scientific data engineering or other related background.
- Proficiency in workplace standard business technology applications, programming languages, and other technical software.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively collaborate, communicate, and share knowledge with peers with diverse backgrounds for role modeling, coaching, and mentoring.
- Recognizes opportunities for improvement and collaborates with colleagues to develop solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy and are cost effective.
