What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Product Manufacturing, and why are they important?

To thrive in Product Manufacturing, a solid understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety protocols is essential, often supported by a relevant technical degree or vocational training. Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, ERP systems, and industry certifications like Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing are highly valued. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and effective problem-solving skills help individuals excel in this environment. These competencies ensure efficient production, high-quality output, and the ability to adapt to process improvements and challenges.

What are some common challenges faced in a Product Manufacturing role and how can they be managed?

Product Manufacturing professionals often encounter challenges such as maintaining quality standards while meeting tight production deadlines, adapting to changes in demand, and troubleshooting equipment issues. Effective communication with team members and other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, is key to quickly resolving issues and keeping production on track. Utilizing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies can help teams address inefficiencies and reduce waste, contributing to a smoother workflow and better product outcomes.

What is product manufacturing?

Product manufacturing is the process of producing goods on a large scale using labor, machinery, tools, and chemical or biological processing. It involves transforming raw materials into finished products that are ready for sale or distribution. This process can include designing, engineering, assembling, and quality testing to ensure products meet required standards. Product manufacturing is a critical part of many industries, including electronics, automotive, food, and textiles.

What is the difference between Product Manufacturing vs Product Assembly?

Industry UsageMass production, large-scale factoriesFinal product setup, component fitting

Product manufacturing involves the entire process of creating products from raw materials, including designing, fabricating, and testing. While manufacturing covers the broader process, assembly is a key step within it, often requiring less specialized credentials but essential for completing the product.

    Who We Are:

At Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing, what you do matters. Every shift helps create the snacks people reach for during movie nights, celebrations, and everyday moments.

While popcorn is where we started, we’re growing into exciting new areas like ready-to-eat snacks. That means more opportunities, more stability, and more ways for you to build a lasting career with us.

If you enjoy hands-on work, staying active, and solving problems as they come your way while being part of a supportive, team-first environment, you’ll feel right at home here.

    Position Overview:

As a Logistics & Inventory Coordinator, you play a key role in keeping production and warehouse operations running efficiently. You’ll help ensure materials and finished goods are moved safely, tracked accurately, and available where they’re needed most.

    In this role, you will:

    • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other industrial equipment
    • Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility
    • Support shipping and receiving activities while maintaining inventory accuracy
    • Use AS400 systems to track inventory and complete transactions
    • Load, unload, tag, and stage products according to specifications
    • Perform quality and safety checks on incoming and outgoing materials
    • Maintain FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices
    • Keep warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and safe
    • Communicate with production and warehouse teams to support daily operations

This is a hands-on role where no two shifts look exactly the same. You’ll stay active, solve problems in real time, and help keep products moving from production to customers safely and efficiently.

    A Typical Day Might Include:

You begin your shift by reviewing priorities with the previous team and checking inventory needs for production. Throughout the day, you’ll transport materials, receive shipments, stage finished goods, and update inventory records in the AS400 system.

You’ll work closely with team members to keep production supplied, verify product quality, and ensure shipments are accurate and ready to go out on time.

    What We’re Looking For:

No experience? No problem. We provide training and support to help you succeed.

We’re looking for dependable, motivated individuals who take pride in doing quality work and enjoy working as part of a team.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

    • Take safety and quality seriously
    • Stay organized and pay attention to detail
    • Work well in a fast-paced environment
    • Communicate clearly and work well with others
    • Are willing to learn new equipment and systems
    • Take ownership of your work and stay dependable
    • Forklift certification or prior forklift experience
    • Warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience
    • Experience with AS400 or inventory management systems
    • Food manufacturing or shipping/receiving experience

    • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance (eligible after 30 days)
