Junior Python & SQL Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Junior Python & SQL Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python programming and SQL, along with an interest in database development, data processing, automation, and application development.

The candidate will work closely with senior developers and other team members to develop, maintain, test, and troubleshoot software applications and database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and reporting.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Develop basic APIs and database-driven applications.
• Debug and troubleshoot Python and SQL issues.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Python.
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.
• Work with Git/GitHub for version control.
• Collaborate with senior developers, testers, and business teams.
• Prepare technical documentation when required.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Python fundamentals, including functions, modules, OOP, and exception handling.
• Strong understanding of SQL, including JOINs, subqueries, GROUP BY, aggregate functions, and CTEs.
• Basic knowledge of relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with Pandas is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-4 years of software development experience.
• Internship, academic, or personal projects involving Python and SQL are welcome.
• Knowledge of Django, Flask, or FastAPI is a plus.
