GeBBS Consulting, a leader in Healthcare Technology solutions, is helping a major healthcare solutions partner to identify a strong Cactus/symplr Administrator.


Project Description:


The Cactus/symplr Administrator will support the administration, configuration, and day-to-day operations of the organization's provider credentialing platform.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering Cactus and familiarity with symplr Payer. Initially, this role will support the existing Cactus environment through year-end before transitioning to ongoing administration and configuration of the symplr platform.Intended to implement CVO by the end of 2026 with the new symplr platform and credentialling in 2027.

This position will partner closely with Credentialing Operations and IT to configure the application, manage security, troubleshoot production issues, support integrations, and implement ongoing system enhancements.


What You’ll Get to Do:


  • Administer the Cactus and symplr credentialing applications.
  • Serve as the primary application administrator for day-to-day system support.
  • Configure application settings to meet business and operational requirements.
  • Maintain application documentation and configuration standards.
  • Create, modify, and terminate user accounts.
  • Configure and maintain security roles and user groups.
  • Manage role-based permissions and access requests.
  • Partner with Credentialing leadership to ensure appropriate security access.
  • Remediating system outages affecting multiple or all users
  • Issue reporting
  • Troubleshoot:
  • User access issues
  • Application errors
  • Workflow issues
  • Module functionality
  • Production incidents
  • Coordinate issue resolution with internal IT teams and symplr support as needed.
  • Configure and maintain:
  • Provider profiles
  • User-defined fields
  • Reference lists and dropdown values
  • Forms
  • Reports and queries
  • Develop and modify operational reports and queries.
  • Support recurring and ad hoc reporting requests.
  • Maintain scheduled report execution.
  • Packets and document bundles
  • Report Scheduler jobs
  • Support ongoing configuration requests from Credentialing Operations.
  • Integrations
  • Support and monitor application integrations including:
  • CAQH
  • NPDB
  • ABMS
  • Interface Monitor
  • Monitoring interface processing
  • Troubleshooting failed imports
  • Support application upgrades and patches.
  • Perform environment refreshes and database restores as needed.
  • Validate system functionality following maintenance activities.
  • Maintain system configurations across environments.


You’ll Bring these Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience administering Cactus in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience configuring provider credentialing applications.
  • Experience with:
  • Security administration
  • User groups and permissions
  • Forms and field configuration
  • Reports and queries
  • Experience supporting production healthcare applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience with symplr Payer or other symplr credentialing solutions preferred.
  • Experience supporting provider credentialing operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of CAQH, NPDB, and ABMS preferred.
  • Healthcare payer or managed care experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting application upgrades and vendor-managed SaaS platforms preferred.
  • Experience with SQL preferred.
