The Shawano School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered High School Principal to lead Shawano Community High School. We are looking for an instructional leader who is passionate about teaching and learning, committed to continuous improvement, and dedicated to ensuring high levels of success for all students.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), using data to inform instruction, and implementing systems that improve academic and behavioral outcomes for every student.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the instructional leader of the high school, fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement
  • Lead and support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on student learning, collaboration, and results
  • Use data to drive decision-making and improve outcomes for all student groups
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate that supports student engagement and well-being
  • Support, supervise, and evaluate certified and support staff to ensure high-quality instruction
  • Collaborate with district leadership, families, and the community to advance the district's mission and vision
  • Oversee school operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Champion equitable practices to ensure access and opportunity for all learners

Qualifications
  • Wisconsin Principal (5051) license or eligibility required
  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field (Doctorate preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience as an instructional leader at the secondary level
  • Proven success leading PLCs and improving student achievement outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered decision making
