We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our dynamic, fast-paced, and growing team. The Project Engineer supporting Operations/DoD will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. This role involves providing technical support, coordinating project activities, and ensuring that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
    • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure project requirements and objectives are clearly defined and met.
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide technical expertise and support in the design, analysis, and implementation of engineering solutions.
    • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Support and collaborate with senior engineers and project managers in executing project tasks.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Communicate project progress, issues, and updates to stakeholders and management.
    • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, presentations, and technical documents.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor project progress and assist in implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry regulations.
    • Participate in inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Resource Management:
    • Assist in managing project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
    • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to implementing best practices to enhance project performance.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to incorporate new technologies and methodologies into projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Your Background
  • B.S. in Engineering, Construction Technology, or other related discipline required.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • 1+ years of experience in project engineering or related roles. Experience level may vary depending on business needs.
  • Experience with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in projects in a specific industry (e.g., construction, oil and gas, aerospace).
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding engineering principles, design standards, and industry regulations.
  • Ability to work additional hours as necessary to meet business plan objectives.
  • Ability to work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Primavera Scheduling, MS Project, and MS Dynamics is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate requirements in an industrial environment, and to give effective direction by using written and/or verbal skills where appropriate.
  • Mature Customer Service and Client Communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
