Job description

Job Summary:
NVIDIA is a leading technology company known for its innovation in AI and computing. They are seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer to join their GPU Diagnostics SW team, responsible for developing applications for GPUs and high-performance computing servers while collaborating with various engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, implement, unit test and debug changes in the NVIDIA SW stack to take next-gen HW from design / development stage to production.
โ€ข Be heavily involved in emulation, bring-up, and product hardening required to build our groundbreaking products
โ€ข You will follow the devices all the way from manufacturing through the development process to datacenter systems, customer desktops, notebooks and workstations.
โ€ข Tackle a variety of problems that directly impact NVIDIAโ€™s end users and partner OEMs.
โ€ข This job will require a deep understanding of our hardware and software architectures.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree, or equivalent experience.
โ€ข Excellent programming skills and proficiency in C/C++ language, libraries, and toolchains.
โ€ข 5+ years hands-on experience developing low level systems software, preferably using Linux OS.
โ€ข Strong software engineering skills combined with a drive to solve hard problems are a must.
โ€ข Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor and fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.)
โ€ข Good written and verbal communication skills, along with strong collaborative and networking abilities.
โ€ข Proven ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced development environments, especially during critical project phases.
โ€ข Ability to self-manage, show leadership, and have good interpersonal skills.
โ€ข Demonstrated proficiency using modern AI productivity tools to streamline day-to-day work, improve quality, and automate routine tasks.
Preferred:
โ€ข Previous experience of working on a large system software code base is preferable.
