Coordination Director

Description

We are seeking an experienced Coordination Director to lead and manage a growing staffing and scheduling department within a healthcare organization. This individual will oversee daily coordination operations, drive process improvements, support team development, and ensure high-quality patient service delivery.

The ideal candidate has significant leadership experience in healthcare staffing, home care, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, or related healthcare environments. They must be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced operational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of staffing coordinators and supervisors.
  • Oversee daily scheduling and staffing operations to ensure proper coverage.
  • Collaborate with Nursing, Compliance, Payroll, HR, Billing, and other departments.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and service levels.
  • Develop and improve operational processes and workflows.
  • Handle escalated staffing, scheduling, and employee-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to improve performance and accountability.
  • Track key operational metrics and implement improvement plans when necessary.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of management experience in healthcare operations, staffing, scheduling, or care coordination.
  • Prior experience within home care, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, healthcare agencies, or similar medical settings strongly required.
  • Proven experience managing teams and leading operational departments.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare staffing and scheduling practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with healthcare software platforms and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish-English is a plus.
