Position Overview
d'strict Americas is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and strengthen our U.S. HR operations across Las Vegas, New York, and Los Angeles. This role serves as the primary HR point of contact for all U.S. entities and plays a critical part in ensuring a consistent, compliant, and people-first workplace experience.
The HR Manager will work closely with local General Managers, an on-site HR Specialist, and a Global HR team based at our Seoul headquarters — bringing structure and leadership to an established operation rather than building from the ground up.
Professional working proficiency in Korean is strongly preferred, as regular communication and reporting with our Seoul headquarters is conducted in Korean.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Partner with local leadership on recruiting, job postings, interviews, and the offer process
- Manage background checks, E-Verify, and ADP onboarding setup
- Lead new employee orientation and ensure a consistent onboarding experience across all U.S. locations
Compliance & Policy
- Develop and maintain HR policies in compliance with U.S. federal and state regulations
- Lead Employee Handbook updates to reflect current legal requirements across all U.S. entities
- Monitor compliance across working conditions, leave, terminations, and benefits
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing via ADP
- Administer employee benefits including health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and open enrollment
- Review vendor invoices and coordinate with finance as needed
Employee Relations
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
- Facilitate required trainings including harassment prevention and workplace safety
- Support employees and managers across all U.S. locations
Performance Management & Compensation
- Support mid-year and annual performance evaluations and promotion reviews
- Assist with salary adjustment processes and compensation documentation
Employee Data Management
- Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation across all systems
HR Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary HR liaison between U.S. operations and Global HR in Seoul
- Conduct regular communication and reporting in Korean with headquarters as needed
- Coordinate with General Managers across Las Vegas, New York, and Los Angeles

Required Qualifications
- HR Experience: Minimum 8 years of hands-on HR experience in the U.S., with a demonstrated ability to manage multi-location HR operations independently
- Korean Language: Professional working proficiency in Korean (written and verbal) strongly preferred — required for regular communication with Global HR at our Seoul headquarters
- English Proficiency: Business-level or above proficiency in English, with the ability to draft HR documents and communicate effectively with U.S.-based employees and management
- Labor Law: Solid, practical knowledge of U.S. federal and California labor law required; multi-state experience (NV, NY) strongly preferred
- Payroll & Systems: Hands-on experience with ADP (TotalSource or ADP Run preferred)
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations
- Discretion: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgment
- Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Comfortable working in a Korean-American corporate environment, bridging headquarters and local teams
- Travel: Domestic travel to New York and/or Las Vegas may be required once or twice per year
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
