Position Overview

Concentra Physical Therapy and Wellness Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist for our outpatient facility located in Little Ferry, New Jersey. This full-time position requires a committed professional who will leverage their expertise to enhance patient recovery and rehabilitation outcomes. The ideal candidate will work alongside a dynamic team of healthcare professionals from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, to create individualized care plans aimed at improving patients’ physical health and mobility.

Work Environment

You will be working in our outpatient office, where each day is filled with opportunity to connect with patients who are eager to overcome their physical challenges. With a patient volume of 1-2 clients per hour, you will have the time and resources to focus on delivering exceptional personalized care. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans based on clinical findings and individual patient goals.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercises to promote recovery.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention strategies, at-home exercise programs, and wellness approaches to enhance their recovery process.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and other medical professionals to offer a coordinated approach to patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients range from individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries to athletes dealing with sports injuries and chronic pain sufferers. Qualifications
  • Must hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (MPT).
  • A valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one is required.
  • CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop rapport with diverse patient populations.
  • A solid foundation in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation practices is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care experience, particularly in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
  • Experience with specialized treatment techniques or modalities relevant to sports and orthopedic therapy.
  • A demonstrated interest in ongoing professional development, with aspirations for mentorship or leadership roles within the organization.
Compensation and Benefits
