Overview
Join our team as an Attic Insulation Installer and play a vital role in enhancing home energy efficiency and comfort! In this energetic position, you will be responsible for installing high-quality insulation materials in attics, ensuring optimal thermal performance. You’ll work on residential construction sites, utilizing your construction experience and mechanical knowledge to deliver top-notch results. Duties
- Safely operate ladders, power tools, and hand tools to install various types of insulation materials such as fiberglass, spray foam, or cellulose
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to ensure safe working conditions on construction sites, including proper ladder use and power tool safety
- Use basic math skills to calculate insulation quantities, areas, and proper fitting techniques
- Collaborate with team members to fabricate or modify insulation components as needed for custom fitting
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials like caulking, trim carpentry elements, and other building components
Requirements
- Chauffers License
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on building insulation installation or related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry
- Ability to climb ladders confidently and work at heights safely
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, schematics, HVAC systems, and framing techniques
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including power tool safety and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Experience with construction estimating or following blueprint specifications is a plus
- Physical stamina to stand, climb, bend, and lift throughout the workday
