Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to accurately determine clients' mental health needs and challenges.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and goals.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy designed to create a supportive therapeutic environment.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay current with best practices and engage in ongoing professional development through training and peer supervision.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with You're Next Psychiatric Services, you will work with a diverse client base that spans various age groups, backgrounds, and mental health conditions. You will provide support for clients experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health issues, fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field.
• Active and valid license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience providing mental health counseling services.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Adept at working independently while also functioning well within a team-oriented environment.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and methodologies.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical and legal standards in all professional interactions.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome candidates with varied backgrounds, preference will be given to those with experience in community mental health settings and familiarity with teletherapy practices. Trainers of therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care, are highly valued in our practice.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 60,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, you will benefit from:
