Job description

Position Summary:

Administrative-based interns will focus on various administrative tasks, research, report-making, training and development, leadership, and program management. Interns will be matched with a qualified site supervisor or program manager and supported by Youth Guidanceโ€™s Internship coordinator.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Outreach to local government officials, organize stakeholders and create testimonies for public hearingsย ย 

  • Partnership liaison providing communication to existing partners aligned with our mission and visionย ย 

  • Observe, co-facilitate, orย facilitateย group sessionsย for postsecondary readinessย aligned with our social emotional objectivesย ย 

  • Support weekly required documentation of attendance, surveys, etc. (non-Salesforce related)ย ย 

  • Parentย engagement,ย coordinationย and communicationย ย 

  • Support administrative duties in the areas ofย marketingย all BAM-FIย events and external affairs to include graphic design, content creation, etc.ย ย ย 

  • Participateย inย other professional development opportunities, as assignedย ย 

  • Perform other duties as assigned byย the supervisor.ย 

Education/Experience/Training:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degreeย 

  • Currently seeking school credit through an internshipย 

Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skillsย 

  • Capable of collaborating in team settings and working independentlyย 

  • Demonstrates cultural competency, including an understanding of the effects of institutional racism and systemic oppression on marginalized populationsย 

  • Demonstrates creativity in engaging youthย 

  • Exhibits a positive team-based approach to treatment and care working with clientsย 

  • Fluent inย other languages besides Englishย preferredย
