About the Position:
YAI has an opening for a full-time Social Worker within our Queens Kew Gardens, NY site. The position at YAI provides the opportunity to gain exposure and experience working within the Queens Crisis Intervention Team and other professionals at YAI.

YAI empowers people with disabilities to reach their goals every day. Our enthusiastic staff of over 4,000 professionals believes that everyone has a fundamental right to live, love, work, and learn. Key responsibilities:
- Provide in person intake/home visits to assess service needs and provide needed services.
- Treats people we support with disabilities related to the areas identified in intake, such as, case management, behavior management, and crisis counseling in the home.
- Facilitate Parent Support Groups (In person).
- Participates in interdisciplinary care planning for people we support and their families.
- Participate in utilization/quality assurance reviews.
- Provide outreach presentations on YAI Crisis Intervention and other related programs within and outside of the agency.
- Perform responsibilities as they currently exist or may change in meeting the needs of the department.
Education and Experience:
- MSW (Person should be willing to eventually obtain their license; LMSW)
- Experience with IDD population preferred
- Spanish Bilingual- Fluent (Required)
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Willing to take initiative
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
- Highly flexible personality type
- Proficient in Electronic Health Record.
- Excellent writing skills
- Exceptional organization skills

Compensation: $58,000-$60,000/year
