POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Senior Test Analyst to provide both automated and manual testing support for the Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization (DHMSM) Testing & Evaluation (T&E) program. This role is crucial in ensuring delivery of high-quality software and system functionality to the Department of Defense through robust testing practices across complex, integrated environments.

As part of the BCG team supporting the DHA Workforce, you will work alongside government and industry partners to plan, design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test processes for systems operating within sensitive healthcare and DoD infrastructures. You will help to identify risks, validate interfaces and workflows, and verify compliance across systems, platforms, and devices.

The mission of the PEO DHMS is to transform the delivery of healthcare and advance data sharing through a modernized electronic health record for service members, veterans, and their families. The ideal candidate will work closely with government test managers, integrated project teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to implement modern test practices in alignment with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategically Manage Testing Tasks:

Support development and execution of detailed manual test cases, test scripts, and test plans for system validation and verification

Collaborate with test leads to align test activities with delivery milestones

Conduct end-to-end functional and regression testing for interfaces and devices across multiple pre-production environments (e.g., GAL, FFGAL)

Contribute to Integrated Project Team (IPT) discussions and daily sync meetings to provide test insights and updates

Automation Support & Enablement:

Assist in maintaining and enhancing test automation frameworks (e.g., UiPath, UFT).

Develop, schedule, and run automated test scripts for smoke testing, functional regression, and integration scenarios.

Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices by aligning automated testing with pipelines.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure testing activities comply with DoD test documentation requirements and Agile test processes (aligned with 5000.75/5000.87 acquisition pathways).

Maintain traceability from requirements to test execution and results using tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, and Jazz.

Provide clear and timely documentation of defects, test results, and environmental issues.

Test Environment Oversight

Monitor and coordinate use of GAL/FFGAL devices and ensure readiness of peripheral testing devices

Participate in readiness reviews for interface connectivity and data flow validation (e.g., Pharmacy Data Flow, APLIS to PathNet)

Support Best Practice Implementation

Champion manual and automated testing best practices within the Agile/DevSecOps ecosystem

Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing actionable solutions

Train junior analysts and provide technical feedback on test case design and coverage strategies

Perform special projects and/or other duties as assigned or required.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

10+ years of software quality assurance and system testing experience

3+ years of experience working in DoD/VA healthcare IT environments

Hands-on experience with manual test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle management

Experience supporting or maintaining automated test suites (preferably UiPath, UFT)

Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and DevSecOps software development and testing practices

Understanding of test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr Scale, Jazz)

Knowledge of system architecture and interface testing

Experience with GAL/FFGAL or similar testing lab environments

U.S. Citizenship required; must be eligible for Public Trust

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ISTQB certification (Advanced Test Analyst or Test Automation Engineer preferred)
