Fry Cook / Prep Cook – Wingin’ It

Wingin’ It is hiring Fry Cooks and Prep Cooks to join our kitchen team in Fort Wayne!

We’re looking for dependable, hard-working people who can work in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right people.

Fry Cook Responsibilities

• Cook wings, fries, chicken tenders, and other fried menu items
• Operate commercial fryers safely and efficiently
• Follow cooking times, temperatures, portions, and recipes
• Toss and season wings according to orders
• Keep up with orders during busy periods
• Maintain a clean and organized fry station
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Help with general kitchen duties as needed

Prep Cook Responsibilities

• Prep chicken, vegetables, sauces, seasonings, and other ingredients
• Portion food according to Wingin’ It standards
• Prepare ingredients for daily service
• Label, date, rotate, and properly store food
• Restock kitchen stations throughout the shift
• Maintain clean prep areas, equipment, and utensils
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist the kitchen team wherever needed

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable and shows up on time
• Able to work quickly without sacrificing quality
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen
• Good attitude and willing to work as part of a team
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs when needed
• Available for evenings and weekends
• Restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
