Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychotherapy to clients experiencing a variety of mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and relationship issues.
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic assessments, to understand each client’s needs.
  • Develop and implement effective, tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques.
  • Engage with clients to establish therapeutic goals, build trust, and encourage their active participation in the therapy process.
  • Be responsive to clients in crisis situations by providing immediate support, intervention, and referral to appropriate resources when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation according to ethical standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring comprehensive client records.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver coordinated and holistic care.
  • Participate in professional development activities, and if inclined, provide supervision or mentorship to emerging therapists and clinical interns.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Willow & Bloom Behavioral Health, you will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Your collaborative, empathetic approach will help clients navigate personal challenges such as traumatic experiences, relationship dynamics, and life transitions, thus contributing positively to their mental health journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid, unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing therapy in an outpatient or clinical environment.
  • Strong clinical assessment capabilities and competence in developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Ability to demonstrate ethical practice, understanding of confidentiality laws, and best practices in mental health therapy.
  • A commitment to providing culturally competent therapy and respecting diverse client backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in specific therapeutic modalities, including trauma-informed care, grief counseling, couples therapy, or adolescent-focused interventions.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems to maintain clinical documentation.
  • A track record of enhancing client outcomes and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience.
