Job description

Job Summary:
Weights & Biases, acquired by CoreWeave, aims to create a powerful platform for AI development and deployment. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CoreUX team, focusing on the development of core UI components and ensuring consistency and accessibility across the product. The role involves collaboration with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to uphold high standards for usability and code quality.
Responsibilities:
• Drive the development of core UI components, patterns, and behaviors across all product areas.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers, PMs, and cross-functional stakeholders to align on component APIs, UX consistency, and accessibility best practices (WCAG).
• Set and uphold high standards for usability, code quality, and technical excellence, ensuring our "blueprints" enable the wider team to build scalable and user-friendly experiences.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• At least 3 years deeply focused on modern JavaScript frameworks (specifically React.js)
• Expert in TypeScript and component architecture
• Proven track record of delivering scalable, production-grade features
• Ability to clarify vague requirements and articulate technical tradeoffs to non-technical partners
• Ability to align teams on complex decisions
• Deep care about usability, accessibility, and reliability
• Successfully shipped UI/UX improvements that directly enhanced the customer experience
• Excel at cross-functional collaboration with PMs and designers
Preferred:
• Experience with TypeScript and strong coding practices
• Background in design systems or component libraries
• Familiarity with navigation and information architecture design for complex applications
• Exposure to Accessibility and Web best practices (WCAG)
• Knowledge of telemetry, analytics, and experimentation frameworks to measure and improve user experience
