Weatherly Inn is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to help plan, coordinate, and lead engaging activities that enrich the daily lives of our residents. This role supports resident well-being by encouraging participation, fostering social connection, and creating meaningful experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

• Assist with planning and leading scheduled resident activities

• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual preferences and abilities

• Support activities in Memory Care as appropriate

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members

• Monitor resident behavior and report changes to nursing staff

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized activity environment

• Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

• Report safety concerns, incidents, or suspected abuse immediately

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 1+ year of experience in activities, senior care, or a related field

• Activity-related education preferred

• Required certifications (upon hire or within designated timeframe):

  • Food Handler permit (within 14 days)

  • CPR & First Aid (within 30 days)

  • Dementia & Mental Health Training (within 90 days)

  • Fundamentals of Caregiving

• Valid Washington State Driver’s License with a clean driving record

• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Comfortable assisting residents with mobility and daily engagement
• Creativity in arts, crafts, music, or group activities preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout the shift
