Floor Technician Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking Seasonal Floor Technician to join our cleaning team for the summer. While we are willing to provide training to the right candidate, you should have some janitorial experience and familiarity with various cleaning products, techniques, and equipment. The duties of this job include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and buffing the floor surfaces of commercial buildings.

You may also help clean or extract and install carpets, so carpet installation experience is a plus. In some cases, you may have to move furniture for floor access or be asked to perform other light cleaning tasks.

Floor Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• • Sweep and mop floors
  • Assist with striping, buffing, and waxing surfaces
  • Clean or shampoo carpets
  • Perform light deep cleaning duties
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Follow workplace safety standards

Floor Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
  • Prior cleaning, janitorial, and floorwork experience required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physical stamina
