Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Account Manager role based in Albuquerque, NM. The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of personal and commercial insurance accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for clients. Daily tasks include reviewing coverage needs, preparing quotes, processing policy changes, renewals, and endorsements, and coordinating with carriers to resolve billing or claim-related issues. The role involves proactively communicating with clients, identifying opportunities to improve coverage, handling questions, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The Account Manager also collaborates with internal team members to support sales efforts, maintain accurate documentation in agency systems, and uphold compliance with regulatory and carrier guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong client relationship and customer service skills, including the ability to listen, advise, and communicate clearly with diverse clients.
  • Experience in account management, preferably within an insurance agency or financial services environment.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems, CRM tools, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalent).
  • Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple accounts, deadlines, and follow-ups.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, policy review, and data entry.
  • Knowledge of personal and commercial insurance products and coverages; ability to learn carrier guidelines and underwriting criteria.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate client needs and identify appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for client correspondence and carrier interactions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and maintain a professional, inclusive demeanor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field is preferred.
  • State insurance producer license (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe) is highly beneficial.
  • Prior experience in a consultative or sales support role is a plus.
