Job description

Light Maintenance and Bus Driver

The job of "Light Maintenance" is done for the purpose of maintaining facilities in safe operating condition; maintaining a preventive maintenance program; and resolving immediate operational and/or safety concerns. As a Bus Driver, the position is done for the purpose of transporting students over scheduled routes and/or special excursions; enforcing rules, regulations, and laws to maintain safety during transport; ensuring the vehicle is in a safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses.

Requirements / Qualifications

•Stand for prolonged periods, maintain simple records, lift and move equipment and furniture 50 lbs; •Follow, understand and carry out oral and written instructions; work independently with minimal supervision; perform a variety of tasks; Carry, use and climb a ladder safely; •Pre-employment physical; Valid CPR/First Aid Certification; •Obtain and maintain a Valid California School Bus Driver's License to be eligible to receive a one-time stipend of $2,000 (paid monthly); •When called upon to drive, will be paid 3 ranges higher.
