Customs Brokerage Representative/Entry Writer 

Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (Hybrid)

Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Customs Brokerage Representative/Entry Writer to join our family. In this role, you’ll prepare and process U.S. customs clearances for an assigned group of clients of varying complexity.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Prepare and process customs entries
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and customs clearances are accurate and complete. 
  • Develop, maintain and update client‑specific HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) databases. 
  • Stay current on Presidential tariff actions to know how they affect customs entries and clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by ourteous, professional, and responsive customer service. 
  • Prepare reports and provide timely clearance updates to clients. 

Qualifications 

  • Proficiency in customs clearance processes.
  • NCBFAA CCS or MCS certification preferred.
  • Understanding of international trade regulations and best practices. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills. 
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment; understanding and complying with evolving regulations
  • Strong problem‑solving skills. 

Minimum Requirements 

  • 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience with US Customs entries
  • Experience working with Participating Government Agencies (PGAs) involved in customs processes. 
  • Proficiency with customs entry software—Descartes preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including spreadsheets and database tools. 
  • Solid understanding of customs and international trade regulations.
