IT Project ManagerPosition Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with approximately 5 years of experience managing technology projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong project planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and delivery skills, along with hands-on experience using Jira and Microsoft Project.

Experience managing application development projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and deliver IT projects within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.

• Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and develop mitigation and resolution plans.

• Manage project scope, requirements, changes, dependencies, and deliverables.

• Facilitate project status meetings and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.

• Use Jira to manage project activities, workflows, backlogs, issues, and delivery progress.

• Use Microsoft Project to develop and maintain project schedules and track milestones and dependencies.

• Ensure effective communication across technical and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate application releases, testing, deployment activities, and project closure when applicable.

• Maintain project documentation, status reports, RAID logs, action items, and other project artifacts.

• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and team efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

• Approximately 5 years of experience in IT project management.

• Demonstrated experience managing projects involving cross-functional technology teams.

• Strong experience with Jira and Microsoft Project.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall.

• Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience managing application development and software delivery projects.

• Experience working with software development, QA, DevOps, or engineering teams.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum project delivery.

• Familiarity with SDLC processes and software development methodologies.
