Software Engineer – Pittsfield, MA (Full Time)

General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring Software Engineers to work on advanced defense and technology systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software applications
• Work with cross‑functional engineering teams
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle
• Develop software for advanced military and defense systems
• Maintain documentation and technical reports
• Troubleshoot and improve existing software systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
• 0–2 years of experience (entry‑level) or equivalent
• Agile software development experience preferred
• Ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Skills

• Programming in C / C++
• Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes
• Understanding of network switches and embedded systems
• Experience with version control tools such as GitLab

Salary

USD 95,000 – 105,000 per year
