Volt is immediately hiring for a HR Manager in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. foranE-Commerce company specializing in clothing and accessories, selling primarily through WhatNot and TikTok Shop.
As a HR Manager you will:
  • Owner Support & Executive Liaison
  • Legal Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between the company's legal counsel and the owners. Schedule meetings, take detailed notes, track case progress, and proactively expedite urgent legal matters to the owners' attention.
  • Administrative Support & Projects: Assist owners with general administrative tasks, operational needs, and special projects as they arise.
  • Critical Thinking: Apply strong problem-solving skills to navigate ambiguous situations, troubleshoot operational bottlenecks, and find efficient solutions for ownership.
  • Recruiting & Hiring: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, interviewing, and onboarding new talent.
  • Systems Management: Utilize ADP and Google Workspace/Google Employee Management tools for day-to-day workforce administration.
  • Workers' Compensation & Safety
  • Claim Management: Efficiently open and track worker's compensation claims directly with The Hartford. Injury Reporting & Clinic Authorizations: Oversee the end-to-end injury reporting process, ensure compliance with safety regulations, coordinate medical care, and manage clinic authorizations
  • Employee Relations & Management Support
  • Conflict Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, using strong conflict-resolution and analytical skills to conduct objective investigations and resolve issues fairly. Management Coaching: Serve as a mentor and resource for managers-especially those new to leadership-offering sound judgment, expertise, and actionable recommendations. Disciplinary Action: Partner with leadership to identify performance issues and prepare formal disciplinary action documents for managers to issue. Proactive Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to boost employee morale, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Policy Development: Author, update, and implement comprehensive company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and cultural alignment. ADP Portal Build-Out: Partner directly with the ADP implementation team to design, develop, and launch our employee portal, maximizing the platform's capabilities for onboarding, payroll, and benefits.

This is a full-time - temp to hire opportunity.
Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm
The Ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally in a solo or highly autonomous HR role.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. The ability to think on your feet, navigate complex employee relations issues, and find creative solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Administrative & Liaison Skills: Proven experience supporting business owners or executives, taking meeting minutes, and tracking legal or compliance projects.
  • System Build Experience: Experience helping implement or build out an HRIS platform (specifically ADP) and drafting company policies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the Logistics and warehousing industry is a major plus.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ADP and Google Workspace is required; experience navigating The Hartford portal is a strong asset.
  • Attributes: High emotional intelligence, absolute discretion with confidential information, strong organization skills, and a proactive, resourceful attitude.

Pay Rate: $60,000 - $75,000 annually
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
