Water Mitigation Technician (Residential Property Restoration)

Our family-owned, property restoration company is growing, and we have an excellent opportunity for a Water Mitigation Technician to join our team. Full time available with an immediate start date.

Job Duties:

• Responding to both emergency and non-emergency property damage situations
• Monitoring water damage and moisture readings
• Inspecting, evaluating, and documenting water damaged properties
• Extracting water, removing mold, drying carpet, wall, sheetrock, and subfloors, removing sewage overflow, boarding up windows, and installing subfloor or framing
• Containing exposed areas using plastic and sealing off needed areas
• Completing paper documentation as required
• Clean up worksites
• Assist carpenters or painters, or other tradespeople on-site
• Acquire, handle and transport materials/supplies and equipment
• Load or unload construction materials
• Use power tools when needed
• Follow instructions from Leads to perform manual labor tasks
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner

Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or GED and a valid Driver’s License is required
• IICRC certified an asset
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds etc.)
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• CDL Strongly preferred
• Mitigation experience is a plus
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Familiarity with power tools is a plus
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safety rules
