Job description

Job Summary
VIP Child Development Center is seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our early childhood team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with infants (ages 6 weeks to 18 months), supporting their developmental milestones, and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Responsibilities 
  • Provide attentive, high-quality care for infants in accordance with state licensing and center policies.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Monitor and record developmental milestones and daily routines (feeding, sleeping, diapering).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child’s daily progress and well-being.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive and professional work environment.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and required certifications as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Knowledge of Creative Curriculum preferred
  • Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Must meet state licensing requirements for background checks and clearances.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active play.
