Role Description The Electrical Engineer role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Dallas, TX, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the Electrical Engineer will design and develop electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, including power distribution and lighting systems. Typical day-to-day activities include performing load calculations, preparing drawings and specifications, coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. The Electrical Engineer will review submittals, support construction administration, and collaborate with clients and partners to deliver efficient, reliable, and user-focused solutions. This role also involves participating in project meetings, addressing technical questions, and contributing to continuous improvement of design practices.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity fundamentals.
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design for building and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and relevant design software.
  • Familiarity with NEC, local building codes, and industry standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; EIT or PE licensure is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Prior experience in consulting engineering or building systems design is beneficial.
